After a rest in stainless steel the wine matures in medium toasted oak barrels for approx. 14 months. The oak barrels are both new wood and old wood. The wine is left to affine in the bottle for at least 10 months.
A ruby red colour. On the nose vanilla and fruit. In the mouth dry warm spicy notes with light vanilla, tabacco and red fruit marmalade. A Typical Barbera with mature fruit and a fresh acidity even after many years.
Pairs with red meats, game and stewed meats. The freshness of this Barbera also allows it to pair well with cheese and tasty first courses.
